Art by Walter Schauer
Walter Schauer was born in January 1957 in a small town in the Schilcherland region of southwest Styria in the Styria region of Austria.
He is essentially self-taught, but has taken courses from well-known artists and enjoyed private training.
Like his earlier idols Schiele, Kokoschka and Gerstl, he can be assigned to Austrian Expressionism.
His subject areas are allegorical.
Depending on the theme, they alternate between representational and partial abstraction.
Means of expression are strong colors in the sense of the theme, or a high-contrast interaction between pale colors on a dark background.

From 2023 digital exhibition, Dubai, Berlin Mallorca, Paris, Venice Participation in the International Luxembourg Art Prize 2022.
His works have been awarded the 2024 Masterful Mind Award by the Circle Foundation for the Arts, and published in a book, The Masterful Minds Magazine Vol.4, which has been distributed worldwide.
